Re: Valentine Engagement Party Theme Ideas!!
I just got an Oriental Trading Magazine in the mail the other day. It has all Valentine's Day Stuff in it. If you want, FM me your address and I will mail you the catalog since I don't need it. You can probably find a cute favor idea in it. Plus, it says Order Now & Save 20% plus free delivery. Place any order of $60 or more from this catalog by Jan 13, 2004 and receive a 20% discount plus free delivery. Let me know.

Re: Valentine Engagement Party Theme Ideas!!
Make it a dress up party and everyone has to wear red. I think BH 90210 did a party for V-day and everyone came in their PJ's. I'm seeing heart name tags or place cards if you do that. its easy to make a heart shape cake, just a square and 1/2 circle on each side. You could give out those candy with the sayings as favors or heart shaped cookie cutters.

Re: Valentine Engagement Party Theme Ideas!!
If you give me more of an idea of what you are thinking about, I can help some more. I'd try to stay away from flowers/roses as CP's because they are so expensive that time of year. Where are you going to have it? How many people? Maybe if you had a morning brunch and people came in PJ's you can make french toast and pancakes in the shape of hearts.

Re: Valentine Engagement Party Theme Ideas!!
If you get your butts moving, it can be done. You need to find a place and get the invites out ASAP. I'd go to staples and get some 8 1/2 x11 paper and just make the invite up yourself on word. For like 2 cents each they will fold it for you, trust me, its worth it.Where were you thinking of having it?

You could even get those cute valentines day cards they have for little kids and send those as invites! And if everyone came in thier PJ's it would be like a big sleepover!

That's a cute idea with the kids valentine cards.... We're thinking about the Knights of Columbus in Oceanside... I want to be able to dance and have fun!! I dont want a 'formal' sit down type of thing... but I cant see putting my grandma in pajamas either...lolol... we really do need to get our buts moving... we're in post christmas slow motion!

Re: Valentine Engagement Party Theme Ideas!!
Maybe buy grandma a pair of red sweats. You can totally pull this off if the hall isn't booked and you really want to. Not sure if they provide food but if they don't, we got food for my sis bridal shower from stop and shop and it was great. it was cheaper then costco and had the best selection of all the supermarkets. Also check out the local pizza places to see if they cater. Check out a few. My boss was going to order food from one place, I showed him the menu from a few more and he saved about $10/tray. You can go to a party store and get some red white and pink balloons and weights (they sell them there), Staples should have some nice paper. GO to www,verseit.com for the wording. Favors are easy. You're on your own for a DJ. Not sure what the budget allows for.

Re: Valentine Engagement Party Theme Ideas!!
For my engagement party we had red heart balloons, red tuplips in vase that was submerged in a bowl of water with red heart floating candles in it and then for a favor we gave out a red heart shaped truffle.
