Brooklyn Girls: MOB Gowns?

I'm taking my mom on the 17th to go look for her gown - again. We already have an appointment at Valentina's, but where else should we look?

Re: Brooklyn Girls: MOB Gowns?

The stores in that area all have a lot of that MOB type gown. We found one in Barbies for $600 and almost bought it for my MIL. Then we went to Macys and found a better dress for $75 or something!

So always check the regular department stores before venturing to those shops b/c they charge A LOT!

Also - a lot of the BM dress makers are making gowns that are very MOB appropriate AND can coordinate with your BM dress.

Re: Brooklyn Girls: MOB Gowns?

Rebecca, try a small local not bridal shop called Michelle's on 18th avenue.

Re: Brooklyn Girls: MOB Gowns?

My mother is cooperative enough to coordinate with my BM gowns (although I've suggested it a few times). She's called FMIL and told her that she is not ALLOWED to wear the same color as she does...

She won't set foot in either Kleinfelds or Lestans...but I didn't think about department stores, I'll definitely check them out!

Any other ideas?

Doris Fashion on 18th Avenue and 66th Street.

Ninette's Bridal has MOB gowns...they are on Avenue U (I think near East 9th...not sure of the cross street).
