I have been to a wedding there. VERY pretty. Beautiful grounds. The actual hall where the reception took place was ok. I thought it could have been better polished. The bathroom is tiny. You have two views in the facility where the reception takes place. One view is of the beautiful pond and gardens. The other is of an apt. building!! For the price they charge, I thought I was going to be blown away. The grounds are beautiful!
I didn't think it was worth the $$$$. Def. check it out. This is JMO.
Good luck!

Never been to a wedding but have been there a number of times. My cousin lives 2 blocks away. It is truly gorgeous, I could only imagine how pretty it must be when it is for a wedding.

I checked it out when I was looking. Its definately pretty, but the grounds are actually prettier than the conservatory. I didn't think you get much for your money, though. I heard the food was great, but shi-shi if you know what I mean. Plus there is a pretty big site fee. One thing to note is that they book up fast. I looked in July for the following year and all the saturdays were booked from april till the end of october.

The site fee is $$$$. When I checked it was $3000 for the room at the Palm House. It is really beautiful. You might also want to check out the NYBG or the Boathouse at Prospect Park.

My cousin got married there. I wasn't invited (Second Cousin) but my parents, uncles and aunts were there. My Dad couldn't stop raving about the place. I saw some pictures and the whole thing looked great. If you want I can ask my parents more about it?

A friend of mine is getting married there this June...I've heard mixed reviews - one a glowing recommendation, raves over the food and decor, and another who said that the place smelled musty and the portions were small. Both of these people were talking about the same wedding!

I went to a wedding therea bout 7 years ago. It really was a beautiful place, very pricey from what I've been told. At that wedding, everyone was disappointed so we couldn't really go outside for the cocktail hour. That brides sister just got married there this past Saturday (in the freezing cold). I will find out from my sister how that wedding was.Ps. That wedding I went to 7 years ago, the groom was a fireman and I know they got a nice discount because of that.

I checked it out when I was looking as well as the Brooklyn Museum. I already threw out all the materials so I can't even give u specifics. I thought it was way too much money. The grounds are awesome for pictures though. I agree with Heidla. Check out the Picnic House at Prospect Park. I couldn't go that route because it is under renovations. It is right by the Botanical Gardens so u could still take pictures there.Good Luck!picnic house
