Re: Review on Sandals-St.Lucia

i thought the halcyon was small and liked the regency becuase it had it all and you are given your choice of rooms where as the halcyon and the grande are like huge hotel blocks kinda like the marriott they are blocks of rooms at the grande you have blue bluffs, suites , villas, private villas and hotel blocks. keep in mind the grande is new and big but felt more of a resort and the regency was more intimate and easier to meet other couples and to do activities and games. we went to all 3 and the grande was really large didnt get a warm feel just felt like another guest where as the regency the staff made sure to get to know you and more personalized its really your preferance the halcyon has 3 restaurants the grande i believe has 5 and the recency has 6. good luck fm me if you have any questions.

Re: Review on Sandals-St.Lucia

Halcyon is very small. They close their pool at night. The Grande is great if you like water sports. They have a little more there and they are on the bay. The water is much calmer than at the Golf and Spa. Halcyon only has 3 restaurants one of which you need reservations for. The Pier (restaurant) is awesome. The Grande has a couple more restaurants but I agree with Corinne it is more like a hotel and the rooms are more or less the same. We stayed at the Golf and Spa (Regency) and we loved it. The staff seemed much nicer there and more outgoing. There are different types of rooms and TONS of restaurants. The only 2 downsides to the Regency are the water is on the Ocean and we were Red flagged a lot in July. The other are the blasted hills! Ugh Not fun walking up those after a couple of drinks. I definitely would go to the Regency again!!!! But make sure to visit all 3 it is worth it! Also make the reservations for any of the restaurants you want to go to before you go because they only reserve about 3 tables per outside resort per seating. You need reservations for the Italian restaurant at the Halcyon, The Japanese restaurant at the Regency and the French restaurant at the Regency. I believe on Saturdays you also need reservations for the Italian restaurant at the Regency also. Also definitely go on the booze cruise the views were so beautiful and it was a lot of fun.

If you want to see pictures from our honeymoon- FM me and I will send them to you.

Re: Review on Sandals-St.Lucia

I dont have any pics online.
I stayed at the Golf and Spa...is it now called the Regency??
We ventured over to teh Halcyon, and did NOT care for it. It was very empty.
HIGHLY recommend the other one
