Going 'POWER SHOPPING' for my gown today!!

Wish me luck!! I'm going to try going it alone this time... hopefully it'll work out better than the past few times have!!

Anyone else go shopping for their gown alone? Did you find it worked out better shopping alone or with someone?

i was going to do it alone at least until i found a dress that i really like, then bring others in for their opinion...but my mom and sil already mentioned to me that they want to be there so i don't want to end up arguing about this...i am going for the first time next weekend

That's so funny misstene -- I have an appt at 10am also and we are getting married on the same day!!! Good luck to you too!!!

I already went three times with my mom and twice with my MOH and well, I haven't found it yet so I figured I'd try it alone.

Well, I didn't go alone, but I took a girlfriend of mine from work. I was in MA at the time with NO family around to upset me! It was the most productive of all the times I went. Good luck! Let us know how it goes!

I went alone and it was wonderful! I went to about 5 places and knew 'the one' when I saw it. I brought my parents back and they cried!We bought it that day.

I went alone

I loved it. It's my wedding and I feel that I am better off. Personal opinion.

I love to hear input but I got that from other brides and other folks around me anyway. But at the same time it's more liberating to say 'go for it, lets try it' if I was on the fence about a dress or even against it and my friends caught on, they'd convinence me not to try it mostly. I liked not having that pressure.

I wouldnt have changed it for the world. Spent 2 days shopping at 4 stores but found THE ONE.

The one was the one I said no to on the hanger but hey.. i had time so I'll try it on .. why not make the dress lady happy right? Bought it !! LOVE MY DRESS .. who knew?
