Re: Need a good homemade pizza recipe!!
My FH picks up pizza dough from the pizzeria and makes all sorts of things. He made a spicy tomato sauce once and added cut up chicken and cut up sausage and cooked it all up together for about an hour til all the meat was very tender. Then he used the dough to make calzones out of the meat. It was very easy and delicious. Also, and I don't know if anyone but him would ever do this, he bought a jar of the small hot peppers stuffed with provolone and prociutto (I think they're called Shooters) and wrapped each pepper in dough and baked them. They were out of this world!

I make a lot of different pizzas/rolls/calzones on the pizza stone. My favorite and the easiest pizza is:dough from the pizzeria (i've made homemade dough but from a good pizzeria it is well worth the few $$'s)
drizzle with a very little bit of olive oil and sprinkle with finely chopped garlic-sometime I will use the chopped garlic in the jar which my FH actually thinks comes out better
then i cut up plum tomato's and arrange them on top. Bake til lightly brown-comes out light and delicous!!

I like to make sausage bread with the pizza dough, it comes out great and is an easy snack/meal! I buy the sweet turkey sausage, take it out of the casing and crumble it while it is cooking. Roll out the dough to a rectangle, line with thinly sliced salami, shredded mozzarela, and crumbled sausage. Roll the dough into a roll, and spray with PAM to hold seam and edges together and lightly coat the top. Let sit for about 30 minutes. Bake at 350 for 45 minutes.....it is soooo good!Welcome New Vendors
