Save The Dates vs Invites

Okay so our Save The Dates went out a few months ago. One of FH's co-workers (or I should say bosses- he sits on the board) left a message on our answering machine about how much he loves our invitation and really appreciates being invited but can't make it. (FH is not very close with this person but felt he had to invite him)
Now our STD were pretty elaborate and he is not the only person to have thought it was the invitation. I know you are supposed to send everybody an invite who got a STD but do we have to send him one if he already thanked us and tols us he wasn't coming???

Re: Save The Dates vs Invites

I wouldn't think that you need to now. He might get confused if you send him one.

Re: Save The Dates vs Invites

I don't think you need to if he has already made it clear he will not be attending - UNLESS you think he might change his mind down the road when it gets closer. I would save the money though and use it for someone else!
