Catering Hall Question

I was asked by the CH to supply a complete list of names of my guests. Anyone else have to do this and why?

Are they doing the place cards for you? Maybe that's why ....

We had to do it only for a seating arrangement. (by table #) so that if someone shows up and there is no place card for them, they can refer to the chart and not bother me during the night...

I was told when we did my sisters wedding it is so god forbid their is an emergency and someone calls the hall for a Mr. Smith b/c something happened at his house instead of having the DJ announcing it and causing a scene they can go to the table and find Mr smith on their own without getting everyone involved.

You have to give it with the table number just in case people come late and don't pick up their card or if people lose it and can't remember where they are sitting. This way they can just ask the Maitre D and he/she can escort them to their table.

We have to do that because there is a security gate at the entrance and all the guests supposedly have to be on the list to get in.
