Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
Originally I was going to let them all decide on one dress.... then I picked one out.. none of them complained to me but I felt they werent all comfortable in it... Finally I picked out one brand ( Bill Levkoff) the color I liked.. and a few different styles .. all that I loved and let them pick whichever one suited them best.

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
I went shopping with 4 of my 5 BMs...they tried on a ton of dresses, and as soon as a girl didn't look good in one of them, we eliminated it. Once we found a gown that worked well for all of them and came in the right colors, we chose that one. It was pretty mutual, but it was my final decision.

My MOH (my sister) and I picked out the MOH dress and 2 selections to choose from for the BM and they will make the final decision on that.

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
I have 1 Bm and 1 MOH. My sister and his sister both the same age but their tastes are totally different. One like strapless, the other wont wear anything with out sleeves, one is big busted the other has no bust.
So I am going to go with my sis and pick a dress with her and if fsil likes it good she can get it if not let her pick whatever she wants. Granted it is a Jan wedding and I wanted them to be warm and wear sleeves but if she wants to go strapless let her freeze her DD's off let her do it. I just dont want to be staring at her boobs all night I dont want or need any drama.

It was a group decision with me being the dominant force. I, of course, had final say.

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
I went with my MOH and told her the style and type of material I wanted. She then tried on a whole bunch and fell in love with one. I really liked that one too. We showed everyone else, got the ok, and ordered!

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
My sister (MOH) and I went and picked out 5 dresses that she really liked and then we let the BM's decide together on which one they liked best. Amazingly everyone agreed pretty quickly and it was relatively painless!

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
We did it together, I gave them a color and they picked out the dresses. I only have 2 girls in my bridal party so it was pretty easy!

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
Originally I was asking all of the BM opinions, but it was hard for everyone to agree on a style and color. So I finally decided that I would have to make the decision on my own. Unfortunately, when you have a larger Wedding Party, you cant please everyone.

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
I went with my MoH and had her try on lots of dresses. She gave me her input and let me know which ones she liked and I chose one for everyone to where. Originally I was going to let the BM choose from a selection of dresses by one designer, but I axed that idea. The next step is to get everyone to order them

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
My bridal party is just me and my MOH (my cousin). Since she's in Florida, I just told her to go buy whatever floor-length black dress she liked! It's nice b/c black dresses are easy to find and she doesn't need to coordinate with anyone else.

Re: Are you picking out the bm's dresses??
My 3 adult BMs searched through the racks of a bridal salon with the colors sky blue and lavendar in my mind. They tried on the 2 dresses which we all (including the 2 mothers) didn't like. One of my ethaustisic BMs saw a Champagne gown which they then tried on and it was the one! It was also perfect for a mid-summer's afternoon wedding.
I let them browse with colors in my mind at first and then let them choose the dress that they also like on their own. So, yes it was a combined decision with 3 BMs, 2 mothers, and myself to decide on the BM dresses. We all did made the decision together as a team.
