Queens girls - where did you have your Rehearsal dinner?

I'm in whitestone and I'm having a tough time choosing a place that isn't really expensive!!!

Also, what day of the week was your rehearsal?

Re: Queens girls - where did you have your Rehearsal dinner?

we're having it at Aunt Bellas in Douglaston. We're having it Sat between 12 and 4 (since we have to get up around 5 on Sunday)

We had a tough time too, places were either booked for communions or too expensive.

(we almost were going to have it at Erins Isle.)

Re: Queens girls - where did you have your Rehearsal dinner?

Tracy - I was thinking of having it at Erins Isle!! Why did you decide not too? I already used giardinos for my son's christining so I didnt want to have it there.. and that place is right by my church.

** also girls from whitestone - my mom suggested the clintonville (sp?).. she loves the food there.

Re: Queens girls - where did you have your Rehearsal dinner?

The clinton won't do it on a friday because they don't have a party room. Erin's Isle only accomodates 28 people. If we only invite the bridal party and our parents then we have 19 people, but FH feels pressured to invite the brial party with guests...

Napa and sonoma is too expensive, Monahan's isn't that bad, farrell's is too small - so is Friend's and co. Verdi's is offering a pretty good package, but I'm worried about drinks, so I think I will keep looking. Honestly, the best package so far is at farrell's, but their room is small, they say it holds 30 people, but I don't see it.

Re: Queens girls - where did you have your Rehearsal dinner?

we didn't pick Erins isle also because its too small (we have at least 30 people), their package didn't include beer, wine, soda, etc. and FH just doesn't really like the place. I've never been there.

Aunt Bella's package included beer wine and soda for only a few dollars more than erins isle (without drinks)

I know a few places I can think of, but I am not sure if they have a separate room. What about Giardinos?

Re: Queens girls - where did you have your Rehearsal dinner?

why dont you have it at casscarinos? there food is good and they have a backroom in the one in college point so you would be by yourself. the food is good fo rthe money and they have wine and stuff for the drinkers. the whitehouse isnt too pricey either and the food was good when i lived there.

Re: Queens girls - where did you have your Rehearsal dinner?

did anyone ever eat at Il Fagiano
or Castel Mare on utopia
or Il Fresco on northern?

They also seem to be reasonably priced, but I've never been to any of them...I just called them for a quote....

Giardino's in Douglaston is nice. The food is good and they have rooms for private parties.
