I need HELP planning our 1 year anniversary!!!!!!!!!

I need HELP planning our 1 year anniversary!!!!!!!!!

We don't want to go far or stay away too long b/c of MIL's critical condition.
We want to go somewhere we could drive too within 2-3 hours.

Our anniversary will be Memorial Day weekend - it actually falls on Mem. Day Monday, so we would probably leave Friday and come back Sunday night or Monday morning, so we could have dinner at Chateau Briand on Monday.

Any ideas on a romantic, yet a location not too far?

Hi Liz

I am wishing nothing but the best for you.

There is a Bed & breakfast in Cape May New Jersey, which is probably a little over two hours away. I think it is called Arawak, starts with an A. It escapes me at the moment. It is owned by the former editor of Essence Magazine- Monique Greenwood. I believe i reccomended this to Shamma as well, she also heard of it. You may want to get her in on this while I try to remember the name.

My aunt has been there a few times. She loves it, it also has a little town where you can shop, sight see.

It is called Akwaaba by the sea, they have a cafe and a B&B in Bklyn and they have the other other B&B in Jersey.

My GF stayed there and loved it, Roger and I are considering it for a mini getaway this year. I might surprise him for his b-day, yes your wedding day

we were supposed to go last year but due to your wedding we canx, you should check it out. It is African American owned.

Shamma, I am leaning towards this one in NJ by the Sea. I like the Beach nearby.

I kind of like the room in Brooklyn better, but I want to get away, and I want to be near the beach
