you can send a basket of cute cookies with the baby's name, weight, date and parents' names on them...They are cute, but I was looking to see what everypne else does...I alsways send that

My signature is the baby Mickey/Minnies. I send them to every new baby. They are on Disneystore.com (as is the PoohGram) They are pretty reasonable ($25) and absolutely Adorable!! Everyone looks forward to my gift!

Red Envelope and Pottery Barn Kids have these hooded towels that you can monogram with the baby's name...they are so cute...everyone I've sent them to LOVE them...they are quickly becoming my signature baby gift...they are $25.

One of the best presents my mom got when she had my brother and sister (twins) was diapers! One of her friends gave her 10 huge boxes - diapers cost a lot and you you run through them very quickly!

i agree with the diaper idea and you can also send them in a nice diaper bag or diaper pail or hamper.

I usually send something for the baby like sleepers, an outfit or something personalized. For really close friends I'll also bring over some home cooked meals that can be frozen & reheated.
