im back from my honeymoon- Aruba review!!!!!!!!!!!
well unfortunately all good things come to an end.My wedding and honeymoon are over. but we had a ball. We loved Aruba so much were booking soon to go back next year! The island is gorgeous and you can almost guarantee good weather. didnt rain once. the only thing about going away that week is the fact that schools are out and tere were kids everywhere. i love em but being a teacher, i wanted a little adult time. oh well!We had an all inclusive at the Divi Divi Aruba and it was great. everything was right on the beach. The food was good and the drinks were better! I miss those banana daiquiris already.
The Divi is a low rise and the rooms are cute but nothing spectacular like the high rises bit we loved it. The grounds were beautiful! We did eat at restaurants. ALL which I recommend!
El Gaucho- great steak- didnt like atmpsphere- they stuck us in back in a corner table but food was good.
The Flying Fishbone- awesome!!! very romantic, good food. you are right on the beach. cab ride is about 20 min but its well worth it. we spent valentines day there and it was so romantic. We went at night when the sunset was gone but it was romantically lit!
La Trattoria-El Blanco- at the California Lighthouse. best view of aruba.. great sunset and good food! we ate outdoors and watched the sunset.. very romantic.
We went to Carlos and Charlies- very young but we had a great time! The US coast Guard was there and we had funwatching them drink and let loose!
Black Hog Saloon- spinoff of hogs and heifers but much larger, very open space. fun- they have games that involve the crowd.. it was fun. tues and thurs are there good nights.
We also rented a jeep for the day and drove around- I recommend you go to the Natural Bridge- beautiful scenery. We took one day and just explored te island. We also went down to Baby Beach...
We also shopped, walked the town, gambled, parasailed, relaxed, read books. I read the DaVinci Code and the FIve People you Meet in Heaven. both I recommend.
so all in all a grreat time!!!
