Wanna hear something funny?

Last night FH and I went to our hall to drop off $$ and work some stuff out and set up our tasting.. anyway.. the banquet manager was really busy so we had to sit in the lobby and wait.. and there was another couple sitting there looking at the picture books.. so I said Hi and asked if they were getting married as SC? and she said no but I fell in love with the hall and this is the one I just know it! I think we will book today even though this is the first time here and the first hall weve seen. She asked if I was getting married there.. so I said yes I actually booked last year for next feb. and she started laughing at me! shes like you booked 2 years ahead? blah blah.. so she asked me what date I picked b/c she wanted feb also... well when I told her 2-20-05 her jaw dropped! shes like NO THATS THE DATE I WANTED!!! and we had the same min. of people and everything.. we were actually really similar it was weird.. anyway she was really depressed after that... felt bad but oh well!

Her wedding is less than a year away and she just started looking? Well she better get a move on. I guess she didn't realize just how fast places book up.

lol well she just got engaged on vday! it was the exact same thing I did.. I got engaged on vday ( the year before) and booked my hall on march 13

on long island the good places book up more quickly, i think alot of people dont realize that

you should have seen the lady's face when I told her I booked a year ago... she thought I was nuts!! she was even more shocked when she heard both rooms were already booked for that day!!
I was trying to recommend other places within her budget but she didnt want to hear it really...

What a coinicidence! I feel badly for her though..it sounded like she had her heart set on it, but she is going to find that a lot of places on LI are already booked for that date.
