What Cute/Odd Things Does Your Pet Do?
What does your pet do a lot that you think is adorable or just plain weird?-Whenever we have Animal Planet on, Bud will sit on the couch and actually be watching it. If a dog is running around on the TV, he'll go up to the screen and put his front paws up on it. Yesterday, there was a dog that looked like FH's parents' dog running around on the TV, and Bud got so excited he ran off the couch and wanted to jump onto the TV, we had to change the channel.
-He sleeps on the bed with us and always makes sure to get on the bed before we do. It could be around 10pm, and he'll just know we're going to be going to sleep soon and will already be sleeping there.
-He thinks he's a cat, but unfortunately, he's like 70 pounds and doesn't realize it. He will walk on the top edge of the couch. We're trying to get him to stop doing that.
-He used to steal my bras and underwear and tear them to shreds when he was a little younger. He never touched any of FH's stuff. Good thing he stopped that.
Edited to change 'dog' to 'pet' in title. This isn't for just dogs.

My dog sleeps upside down..legs spread wide open!He can do a lot of tricks. He is so cute when he rolls over. He is wierd becqause he first runs around in a circle before rolling over. I guess he has to build up momentum
If I play the piano he howls!
He has a big crush on my FSIL's dog, Oscar, a who is 11 years younger than Gizmo. Did I mention they are both boys.

Bailey likes to shift the blankets to her liking....lol..they usually end up on the floor!!She also talks to us, watches tv, and loves to cuddle in between us. Her favorite is sleeping in the bed with one of us after her morning pee-pees.

Re: What Cute/Odd Things Does Your Pet Do?
As some of you already know, I have two cats – a boy and a girl. And each of them is obsessed with their owner of the opposite sex. So funny that it worked out that way.My baby girl (Pebbles) will only drink running water from the faucet. She only goes to the water bowl to “slap” the water into movement.
Also, she does not like to have her back or tail touched. If you go near either she licks herself like a maniac. She also likes to lie on the floor on her back with all 4 legs in the air!
My boy (Cleo) is always talking. And he shakes his butt a lot!

Well she thinks she is a dog. She eats everything and begs for scraps. She is loyal and extremely affectionate. She fetches and listens to commands (well, sometimes..)
Also, she's the only cat I ever had that doesn't HATE water. If I dare to leave the bathroom door open during a shower, she'll jump right in there. You cannot use 'water' to scold her, like you can some cats! She loves it.
And unfortunately, she'll drink out of the toilet bowl... I've never had a cat before who did all these things, and I've had quite a few cats over the years!

Re: What Cute/Odd Things Does Your Pet Do?
Oh gosh, where do I begin?!Our baby cat Buckley chases his tail, like a dog! He also steals sponges and brillo from the sink and we find them whenever we move the furniture to clean. The bad thing is he will chew the brillo... which could be REALLY bad if he ever swallowed any... so we keep it under the cabinet. Buckley also drinks with his paw... NEVER puts his face in the water bowl, just touches his paw to the water and then licks his paw!
DH's cat Henrietta eats plastic bags, and then throws up. She was abandoned as a kitten, so we think maybe she chewed through a bag to get to food or something. Still, it's a very annoying habit!! She chews the garbage pail liner that sticks out from under the rim.
She also has a tendency to meow LOUDLY at the foot of our bed at 4:30am every morning. Needless to say I could do very well without her presence, and I'm an animal lover! But DH loves her, so.... I'm stuck! My cat Sophie is an angel, she never does anything wrong, just headbutts you when she wants attention, and LOVES to eat people food, especially chicken and cream cheese. I love my Sophie

What DOESNT my cat do???
Blackie sleeps upside down too, legs and arms spread wide.
He LOVES giving us huggies. He will try to climb up on my shoulder as if he is hugging me.
The best is, he is such a lap cat, that if Im going to the bathroom...#2, he will jump on my lap and sit there

Re: What Cute/Odd Things Does Your Pet Do?
My Dog Davens. Davening is the prayer bowing that you'll see during many Jewish services. My mom used to watch my Bat Mitzvah video ALL THE TIME (I'm an only child). Biscut used to sit in the room with her. SEVERAL times, while she was watching, Beez would Stretch backwards, then forwards, at the exact times in the service where he was supposed to.
I SWEAR, it's true.

Re: What Cute/Odd Things Does Your Pet Do?
Cody loves socks. When FH comes in the door, after Cody jumps all over him to say hello, he goes tearing into the other room to find a sock and just starts tossing it around. He gets the weirdest expression on his face too - he tosses it up in the air and just stares at it until it lands (like he's amazed that the sock is flying all by itself) - he'll keep doing this for 10 minutes or so... It's hilarious. The weird thing he does is very hard to describe - when we give him his bedtime treat, he starts barking (after he polishes off the treat) - but it's a very strange bark - he puts his head down and it's muffled - almost like he's trying to cough the treat up again (he never does though). He only does this at night when we're going to bed - not when he gets treats at other times.

Re: What Cute/Odd Things Does Your Pet Do?
I forgot to mention how Bud is so not a guard dog sometimes. A couple weeks ago, he barked his head off when FH was coming home from work at 3am, but he never gets like that. Normally, he hears someone coming in and will run into the back bedroom. Yesterday, I came home and FH was in bedroom, and all of a sudden Bud comes running out of the room, all excited, running so fast he nearly tripped. He is a little chicken sometimes, but when he's with me outside or at home, and it's dark out, he acts more protective.I love when he sleeps on his back with his paws up. That is the cutest position ever.

My cat always covers her water dish. She will cover it with anything she can drag over-like a dollar bill, a roll of paper towels. I guess she is trying to keep it clean but puts some really dirty stuff in there.

My cat plays fetch but not with a ball, with a crinkled up piece of paper. And he eats french fries too.

Re: What Cute/Odd Things Does Your Pet Do?
Buddy knows when someone's sick.. and he will sleep all night with you.. curled up next to you. Very unusual since he doesn't like to sleep in rooms with people generally. He also doesn't meow a lot at all.... so instead of scratching a door to get in he's learned (we don't know how) to shake his head and jingle his tags. If you ignore him he does it louder. If you STILL ignore him he meows very softly.
Jim is able to make him meow by looking at him and mimicking his soft meow. Buddy looks at him strangely at first then Jim does it again and he meows back.
He loves my feet (which is good since im slightly allergic). I've learned to give him great ear and back rubs with my toes. So he searches them out now when he wants lovin'.
He can't STAND the outdoors. Jim's grandmother takes him out during the spring and summer to give him a good comb down and wash. You should see this poor cat. All four legs spread out and tense as a stiff board. Doesnt meow, hiss or struggle.. just freezes in fright. Sort of funny. Poor thing.
