Narrowing hall choices down(finally) Edited with todays outcome...

I know you ladies(and gents) are going to KILL me for posting yet again but here are our final choices and opinions needed...AGAIN

Coral house(prices are great but...What room would be get for 125-140 people? Some rooms look small...please any coral house brides please give opinions!!)

Watermill-going back on Tuesday to discuss price

Stewart Manor CC-going to discuss price today

Meadow club-going Monday for prices

Manor East-love but reception room is TOO small..Tiffany ballroom was offered, any suggestions on how to upgrade room?

THANKS all...you are such sanity savers)

Today we saw Stewart Manor CC....We both LOVED IT, James is a doll, felt like a best friend and so easy to work with us on ANYTHING we wanted. The ballroom is huge comapred to what we have seen for our size and I like that the entire floor is open to guests etc...really think we may go with this one, only thing we disliked was outside ..but we are having a winter wedding so pic op's were bad anyway!

Went to Sandcastle...all I can say about that is the ladies getting married there are lucky, it was stunning in every way but we were looking for simpler and cheaper..I thought it was amazing but disturbed that the BM wanted us to book on the spot with a free vienesse table if we didnt see the room we'd be in due to renovation...didnt seem like much of a deal and he asked us 4 times and that was bad, FH was fuming by the time we walked out..still was pretty though

So, still looking at Meadow club tommorow and Watermill for room choices Tuesday and Coral house once Linda send us the info but we think it will be STewart Manor...oh how I cant wait to get this over with!

P.s At stewart manor/Watermill/MEadow Club..diff between Fri-Sat night was only a few dollars...at Sandcastle it was $22 difference!!

My favorite out of all of your choices is definetly the Watermill!! The Watermill is so elegant and the food is delicious! Good Luck!

Re: Narrowing hall choices down(finally)

My uncle had his wedding at the Coral house. It was great! He had like 300 people though so I don't think you would get that room.

I went to see the Meadow Club and Watermill when I was looking. The Meadow Club gave us a much lower price! But I think the Watermill room was nicer. I have been to both before, not for weddings, and both are very nice places!

I don't know anything about the other places you listed.

Re: Narrowing hall choices down(finally)

Your choices are all somewhat different. If being the only wedding matters, then Stewart Manor CC is the way to go because all the others are multiple function facilities. I went to a function at the Coral House and Watermill, and definitely thought the Watermill was better, no doubt about it. Haven't been to a function at the Meadow Club, but we did consider that for our wedding. I didn't like that the bathrooms were downstairs. I didn't look at the Manor East but the decor was just not my style. I have heard good things about it though.

Just decide what is most important to you and the choice will be much easier.

Re: Narrowing hall choices down(finally)

We had our reception at The Meadow Club and I can't say enough good things about them. The price was right, the service was incredible, and the food was outstanding. We still have people tell us that ours was one of the best weddings they have ever been to.

Re: Narrowing hall choices down(finally)

This is JMO.
With the amount of people you have keep one thing in mind. If you opt for an overly big room 150 people may actually look loke a few.
The Coral house was fine for me because I am having a100-110 people. When I went to some other halls the rooms were tooo big or too small. So basically picture your guests in the room if you can. Do they have room or too much room.......just right???????? let that be your guide, plus things such as food and the view. For me Iprefer to have the lake than a nicely decorated 4 walls.

Re: Narrowing hall choices down(finally) Edited with todays outcome...

I am kinda bias as I am getting married at Meadow Club. We just went to day to put our 2nd deposit down and the people have been soo nice! Each time we go, even if its just stopping in to show someone the place, our BM(Ralph) keeps us chatting about different stuff for awhile! He is so friendly and nice and accomodating. Dont be fooled by the pictures online either, IMO they are 10x nicer in person!
I didnt look at Watermill simply because I was under the impression that I would have to have the 'basement room' (I dont know the names) for my size party (150+) and I didnt want that but I have heard great things about them as well!

Either way good Luck!
