Kinda Wedding related.....

Ok. I am all thrilled to be getting married but I have a horrible secret.
I miss the military. I miss the whole traditional military wedding with the swords and special military touches. I am the one who is the vet and although I am super excited about my wedding.......But there is a part of me that envies those who will have that distinctive wedding feel. I know silly......

Why can't you still do the ceremony like that, I am. My FH is a U.S. Marine and we are having our ceremony after his E.O.S. and doing it

You are not silly. I'm sure being in the military has been a big part of your life, and is part of who you are today. The military has a sub-culture all of its own, and there is nothing wrong with having sentimental feelings about it.
I'm sure your 'regular' wedding will be absolutely spectacular though!

When I was in the Af you wear your dress blues and they do the sword arch and you have all of your squad there in uniform. I am here in Ny and FH is a civilian....He gets scared when I mention anything about the military cause I am secretly contemplating going back as an officer.......But he does not understand the whole military appeal.....so I just gave up on incorporating it.....too late now.
