Nope. There was one night where the chop was pretty bad and I felt a little queesy, but we were on the very back of the boat. The closer to the middle and you won't feel it at all.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
The Casino is strategically placed in the middle of the ship, to keep you there longest so you dont "Feel anything"
Im very much "mind over matter" on alot of things, and even I had queasy, light-headed moments here and there (Ive been on 3 cruises). I love cruising SO MUCH that I dont care about the stomach aches here and there.
They usually have medication for you right on the ship, the waiters, etc had right in their pockets at all times. Sea-Calm, it was called (free).
ITS SOOO worth the cruise, for a few stomach aches, but again, it totally depends on the person and their mindset too.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
I cruised twice. While I did not get sick, I recommend getting a cabin with a window. The first cruise I did. THe second cruise we booked last minute and wanted to go with friends so we took whatever they had. I didnt like to be in a windowless cabin and felt at times I could of felt a bit sick.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
Cindy, I actually didnt like looking out the window when the waters were rough, made me more dizzy and queasy and then again laying there in the dark when the ship was rocking was no fun either. I think when you hit rough waters, everyone tries to stay busy on the ship, shows, casino, etc. and NOt just lay in bed..

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
I have been on many cruises and never got seasick UNTIL I took a cruise out of NY. I then heard(after of course) that cruises leaving out of Ny are rougher

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
Neither of us got sea sick on or HM. We went out of Ft. Lauderdale to the Southern Carribean and Central America. We were also lucky to have perfect weather the entire cruise. We have been on cruises out of New York and that's when people would tend to get sick-especially during hurricane season...

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
I did the cruise to Aruba for my honeymoon, and we didn't get sick at all. It just feels like your in a hotel. Many people who were afraid they would get sick wore the sea patch behind their ear.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
No one gets more seasick then me, and I was fine.
I have taken 2 cruises- the first one I wore a motion sickness patch- it was great!
On my HM I didn't have a patch, I felt a little rocking but it was ok.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
i have been on 6 cruises, and have never gotten sick. i have been on the mega-liners (2000+ people) and the smaller ships (our HM cruise only held 600 people).
you can always just pack some motion-sickness medicine.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
We are going on a cruise for a part of our HM next week and I have been told and have read on cruise critics that you can purchase wrist bands. They seem to work. So we will buy them just in case. They might sell them on your ship too. I know Norwegian does.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
We took a cruise to Bermuda and we had a superior oceanfront cabin w/ balcony which I do recommend....
I didnt get sick but the last night my husband felt nauseous from some pretty serious swells (choppy waters) and the cruise director even made a formal comment about it to everyone on a loudspeaker - it subsided after an hour or so. I noticed a lot of people had those motion sickness prescrips you get from your dr. that you put behind your ear. That is supposed to help.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
I hate to be the voice of dissent but if your husband get sea sick, a cruise is probably not a great idea. Ive been on a few and they have not bothered me but I dont get sea sick. There can be rough seas on occassion and someone prone to it can get very uncomfortable.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
I've cruised twice and got sick both times. Each time it was only for one night and it was because the seas were extremely rough. I will still cruise again, but if your husband thinks he may get sick, I wouldn't just assume he won't. The ships are big but you can definitely feel the movement at times.
ETA: I've only done four night cruises to the caribbean. I don't think I could handle a cruise for longer than that. A short cruise is a good way to start out if you think you may get sea sick.

Re: Did anyone get Sea Sick on there HM cruise?
You can always take Dramamine with you for motion sickness or minimize the effects of motion sickness. If taken, you will not feel seasick and it's better you take them with you. They might cost about $10.00 on the boat cruise but if you go to a pharmacy, you get like 10 for like $4.00 or less. I'm also thinking of a cruise for our honeymoon for 7 days, Royal Caribbean to East Caribbean Islands. Good Luck !!!
