Birthday Gift Suggestions for DH

DH's birthday is at the end of the month and I have no idea what to get him. He is being no help either - I have nothing to work with

He doesn't want to go away.

He has no hobbies or collections.

He doesn't want to go to a show, sports event or concert.

He doesn't want clothes.

He doesn't want any cds, movies, books or magazine subscriptions.

The only thing he needed was a new drill bit set, but the jerk (said with lots of love) just ordered one for himself

Is there a chance I left something out here?? (you can say this guy is praying or in pain - cause I am both here )

oh yeah, no more electronics.

Re: Birthday Gift Suggestions for DH

Hmmmm this is a tough one.
Maybe a gift certificate that he can use at a later date when he wants or needs something?
What about a watch?
Take him out to his favorite restaurant for dinner?

Wow, he really left you with slim pickings!

Maybe Cologne? Or 'male' accessories like a money clip, wallet, pocketknife?

If I think of anything else Ill let you know!

Edited b/c you already said no clothes! OOPS!

Nothing

He tinkers with stuff in the apartment but he has more tools then he could possibly use for now.

I am actually sorry I posted - you are all so nice to try and come up with ideas for me.

The wine thing sounds good! Maybe with a wine guide or something.

Ah, good idea, or how about those fancy glasses. (the kind that aerate the wine or whatever they do, I'm clueless, I don't drink it, but I know I've seen some special kind of glasses, and decanters.)

Re: Birthday Gift Suggestions for DH

I know what you are talking about - they are sort of duck shaped??

Maybe I'll arrange for a wine tour out east when the start as a late birthday surprise or something.

I just feel so bad because he usually gets me something fantastic.

Don't feel bad, that's his 'job' Besides, it's not like you're not trying to get him something fantastic, he's just being impossible. I know how it goes, my FH is the same way.

Re: Birthday Gift Suggestions for DH

Christine....I did the wine thing for Harry's b-day and he loved it. I bought a really good wine opener, book on wine, wine rack (we didnt have one) and 2 bottles of really good wine. I also bought a bar set, another thing we didnt have, and he loved it!!

Maybe you can get some wine from out East then tell him you will go out there for a tour of the vinyard and a tasting!!!
