Re: Weekend Movie Review!!!

I saw Secret Window. It was just okay. I found the plot very predictable, but Johnny Depp and John Taturro(sp?) were excellent as always. I would say wait for it to come out on video.

Jersey Girl comes out Friday. I will be there for opening night and I'll post a review. I'm warning you though that it will be slightly biased though, because I am a HUGE fan of Kevin Smith, the Writer/Director (also known as Silent Bob). BTW, J. Lo is only in the movie for the first 10 minutes, so PLEASE don't think of this as a J. Lo movie. It is a KEVIN SMITH movie.

I also saw Secret Window last night and thought it was pretty bad. There were a couple of scares, and some slightly gory scenes, but I felt like there was a certain moment that I knew exactly what was going to happen at the end, and that took away all of the suspense for the rest of the movie.

I REALLY wanted to see "Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind" but my FH and our friends did not remember what movie I was talking about, and all wanted Secret Window, but I'll tell ya, as soon as we walked out and they saw the movie poster for Eternal Sunshine, they all said "Why didn't we go see that?" Oh well....next time....

glad I could help!

Can you tell I'm a fan? I've actually met Kevin twice, as well as Brian O'Halloran (Dante), Jay (Mewes), and Jeff Andersen (Randal).

Re: Weekend Movie Review!!!

I saw Dawn of the Dead last night. I never saw the original, so I don't know what people who did see it would think. But I thought some parts were really scary, some funny. I thought it was pretty good. To anyone who sees it though, don't leave right when the credits come up because they show more during it. I was really creeped out in some parts though. And I thought it was better than your average stupid scary movie.

Re: Weekend Movie Review!!!

I saw _Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind_, which was absolutely brilliant. If you like Charlie Kaufman's other films (_Being John Malkovich_ and _Adaptation_, for example) you will not be disappointed -- a very clever script and some amazing visual effects. Such a creative story! If you don't like Jim Carrey, he probably won't bother you here... his role is really sweet and sad and understated. All of the supporting actors are great -- Kirsten Dunst and Mark Ruffalo are hilarious, and it's fun to see Elijah Wood as a distinctly unFrodo character. That's my two cents. I laughed, I cried...
