'New York' Gift

Ladies, I am in need of your help!

I have a friend from Ireland visiting, with some of her family members, for the first time. I want to give them a gift, preferably typical of NY (even the US will do). I would like it if it was easy for them to take on the plane, so nothing too bulky/heavy or an item they may have problems getting through customs with (i.e. food).

I don't know why I am having such trouble thinking of something!

Any ideas? I would really appreciate your help!

I know those sound kind of corny..you should check out the little tourist stores in Times Square. I know of one a little ways up, its on 52nd and Bway.

Re: 'New York' Gift

I know that anything NY Yankees goes over very well. Also, anything with NYPD or FDNY on it may be appreciated as well.

Re: 'New York' Gift

GREAT ideas ladies! Unfortunately, I am out on the island so it will be tough get some stuff from NYC. I already gave them some Police paraphenalia since my father is a Sgt in the PD.

I think I am going to go with the photo album idea...I know Things Remembered has some nice ones that I can engrave. I'll have to check it out. This way I can send them pics I've taken with them and they can add it to the album later to record all of their NY memories.

I'm going shopping later so I will see what else I can find that may be appropriate.

Keep the ideas coming if there are anymore out there and thanks so much for your help!
