How far in advance did you order your invitations?

How far in advance did you order your invitations?

I REALLY want to order them, to be able to see them all printed, but don't want them sitting around for months and months. When is the earliest I should order them? I will probably want o omail them mid to end of Sep (too early?) as my wedding is Thanksgiving weekend (even though I sent save the dates)

i think i was later than most, but i ordered mine a little over 3 month prior to the wedding. the turn around time was only a week.

I ordered them about 3 weeks ago and got them last week. I figured it was never too early plus I am making the wax seals and that will take me forever to do anyway...

I ordered about 4 1/2 to 5 months before the wedding and plan to mail them about 2 1/2 months prior to the wedding.

I ordered mine 7 months before, but they did come in right away. My thinking was that I was gonna get them all ready to just throw them in the mail.

I just got mine last week for my August wedding. They don't take a long time to come in, you just need time to stuff them.

I just picked mine & am finalizing the wording. I will order sometime this month I think. ( I mean April- it almsot is anyway )
The lady in 1 store ( not where I am getting them) said May, for my OCt. 9th wedding.

1year and 10 days before the wedding they were ordered. I thought they were going to be discontiued but they weren't.
