RED linens ? - Opinions ??

I just saw a pic in a magazing of RED linens - Table cloth, napkins, w/ Red and pink flowers and votive candles - AMAZING !!
Has anyone ever done this ??
Is it dramatic and different ? - Or WAAAAY too much ?? What do you guys think?

depends on the room i think. if it's a very subtly decorated room, you're good. If there's already a lot going on, you may want to tone it down - maybe just red tablecloths but everything else ivory or white?

It's the Watermill - I thought I might get away w/ it b/c the room itself is very stately and 'rich' looking - dark wood moldings etc - I don't know - maybe I can ask them to make a table up for me ??

I personally love it but would do red linens in a very plain, not rich, room.

I am thinking of doing a variation.. like the pic below, but no orange.. and with wine colored table runners.. I think it will look very dramatic.. with candles and pink flowers..

So I like the idea.. its something different

Wow. . . I love the room that Pookiesangel posted. And I love the orange with it. It's so unusual.

I don't know what the room in the Watermill looks like. It's not a bad idea to have them make up a table. Personally, I love a lot of color, and I love the color red. So as long as the color doesn't clash with the decor of the room, I say go for it.

I think red linens could be gorgeous, of course that is if they are the right shade of red and the right material. But I don't really know if the Watermill is the right place to do that look. The Watermill is very traditional and stately looking. I can see the red linens thing in either a chic, understated type place (I think of a Manhattan loft etc.) or in a garden setting.

Yes! I love love love it! It is exactly what I am doing. You are the first person I met who has had the same idea. I think the trend for weddings is more white/light colors so this will be romatic and dramtic at the same time. Can't wait to see your pics!

My linens will be Red
Gold napkins

I am having an Asian Inspired wedding so EVERYTHING is in deep red or gold. No white whatsoever. The only thing close to white is just the ivory of my dress.

Which room at the watermill are you getting married in?? I really think you need to ask them to set up a table for you. It sounds like it can work but def. have them do it for you.
