FI just blew my suprise bridal shower! Do I tell him I know?

FI just forwarded an email to me from his mom with subject line 'suprise shower 5/2' - I don't think he realizes his did it so I just deleted subject line when I responded to him so he didn't see it. I guess I should just pretend I don't know????? I'm a bit disappointed but I guess it's good to know and be prepared - and I probably would have found out anyway. But I'll just keep it my secret and not tell anyone right?

I would keep it a secret.
I have a pretty good idea about when mine is planned for but I haven't said anything.
Your family is probably working so hard to make the day special and a surprise and would probably just be upset if they knew you knew...

Tell! He might find out anyway... if anyone looks at the addresses he fowarded the email to and sees yours there then they will know.

try to keep it a secret, in time it will come out that you know... this has happened to SO MANY of my friends. i almost blew it for a co-worker of mine. her friends sent out invitations, but forgot to put SUPRISE on them, so those who didn't know it was a surprise started calling her. i knew it was a surprise, but didn't realize she didn't know the exact date and time (although she pretended to), so i kinda gave it away when i left work and said 'see you this weekend'

Some woman I work with who was not invited nor a friend of mine blew my shower. She blatantly looked at me and said isn't your shower this weekend. I didn't say anything to anyone because I saw how hard my family was trying to pull it off. I just couldn't. I still haven't. I'm sure he would probably feel horrible. My thought would be not to say anything. Just a thought...is it possible he did it to throw you off? Basically make you think it's one day and it's really another day? My family did this and they really had me going until the woman I work with said something.

I would pretend I dont know. If you ar elike me it will be hard but at least you will be able to wear something special, right?

i agree, stay quiet. i think the surprise factor is more fun for the people throwing the party anyway! you'll still have a ball so let them have their fun too.

Thanks - this is gonna be tough since I hate keeping secrets but I won't tell him - or anyone! He definitely could have done it to throw me off - my engagement was such a suprise - I had no idea so I know he's good at suprises! Thanks for the feedback! This is gonna be a tough one!

OH WOW!!!!!! That's rough. I definitely think he did it to throw you off. I would tell. Sorry, I know I am the loosing vote but I would. He most likely did it on purpose.

don't tell him. Mine was almost ruined by someone and I found out later how mad they were at the woman - don't ruin it for him.

Now you have a chance to be dressed nice.

My fi told me the min he found out......... I have not told anyone. I will act like I had no idea...

Whether he did it as a decoy or by error, I have the same suggestion either way. Don't say anything about it.
I just gave my daughter her shower last week and I realized some time ago she pretty much knew. She kept the game going though and it added to the fun. After the party it was really nice to exchange the stories of secrecy and suspicions and laugh over how we gave it away. If she had said she knew before the party we would have shared the stories earlier and taken some of the fun out of the day for everyone. I would have let my guard down and she probably would have seen the gifts and all the favors and decorations.

I'm going to have to go against the grain here and tell you to let him know that you know. There's too much time between now and your shower. I found out about mine before the invitations went out Only about 5 people know that I know, but it's actually much harder to keep it a secret from everyone else. I slip up occassionally
