Oheka Castle for Wedding Night

Just got off the phone with them b/c FH and I wanted to stay there on our wedding night. I was all ready to book when the woman informed me that i CANNOT ARRIVE IN MY WEDDING GOWN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

***!! I won't be arriving until 1am!! So I told her to cancel the reservation...

I was so psyched to stay there and now I'm bummed out...

That's weird. I wonder why they have that policy.

Re: Oheka Castle for Wedding Night

It's probably because you may run into the other bride and since they are a 1 wedding at a time place (and guarantee their brides that)...she may get upset. Also because they cannot guarantee that you really will show up that late. They are probably protecting themselves.

Re: Oheka Castle for Wedding Night

I totally understand why-b/c people pay $10,000 for the site fee you are guaranteed to have the place all to yourself and I would feel the same way-I wouldn't want to run into another bride.
Still...i am a little bummed out b/c I was really looking forward to staying there.

Re: Oheka Castle for Wedding Night

Even though I could understand their policy, I can imagine you must be disappointed!

Don't worry, your night will be great regardless of where you stay!

Re: Oheka Castle for Wedding Night

I'm even surprised that they would give you a room if there was a wedding that evening. My girlfriend is getting married there and she has the whole castle to herself (including the rooms). I would assume that is why OHEKA is $$$$$$.

Re: Oheka Castle for Wedding Night

Why dont you just change out of your dress after your reception and into something more comfortable. Thats what I am doing before we go into the city for the night
