has anyone ever eatin there or have a wedding there? they are on the beach (gardens going to the beach) and have a great beach wedding theme. I just need feedback on the place and food (haven't seen it yet). Thanks!

I'll tell you what works for us (we have been living together for 6 years - only combined accounts 2 years ago). Since we both make about the same, my paycheck goes into checking and his goes into savings. All the bills get paid out of checking and if necessary we dip into the savings. He is a great saver (and of course I am a great spender) so this system seems to work out good so far.

I've eaten in the restaurant many times but never as a wedding guest. The restaurant food is wonderful.

What do I need to do? Know? Bring?

We checked it out last year, it is actually on a pond and could I definetly see big puddles and possibly a bad mosquito problem. The motel that is attatched is not great. The owner was less than friendly, food was "okay", the inside restaurant smelled like a wet dishrag. We hoped it would work out since my family lives in Sag Harbor. A great beach place is "The Waterside" in Noyac-Sag Harbor. I had my wedding there in the winter but it is on the Peconic Bay and you have beautiful views plus a beach. You should check it out!!

my brother just got married and he gave his best man a pocket watch which i thought was really nice. He also had it engraved. they gave the parents amex gift cards, this way they could get what they wanted. in the back of bridal magazines they also have poems to my father or mother or whatever which look nice in picture frames. you could also take it to like kinkos and have the poem copied over a picture of you and the groom or you and your mom or dad from when you were really little. I think that is sentimental.

I stayed there last OCtober. The restaurant was very good. Teh motel is a little run down though.

I am getting married 11-19-00...hoping it will be warm enough for an outdoor ceremony, the grounds are beautiful...but, not counting on it...I have grandparents from Florida, and don't want to subject them to cool weather, even if it is only for a half hour...

However, I hope it is not accurate, because it is predicting storms for my day in September!
