My boss just told me that he can't come to the wedding...

I have worked for him for 4 years and he was so excited when I got engaged. He has asked me about it for so long, but ultimately, his wife can't get off work (she is a nurse in Columbia Prebysterian).

Now, I am afraid I am going to get a whole bunch of unexpected no's.

we had one couple bail because the husband had to work. i don't get it... she couldn't come stag or with her son??
we've had a few unexpected no's. it's frustrating.

At a coworker's wedding a former coworker cancelled AT THE LAST MINUTE only because his wife had to work.

That's even worse.
I've been told to be prepared for unexpected nos, but I don't believe in the unexpected, so I am trying to predict who they will be.

I'm sorry. We got a lot of unexpected no's...thus leading us not to make our minimum

I guess I am also nervous because we invited so many of FH's relatives from Poland and I really doubt that many of them will be coming. I feel like I am on pins and needles waiting for replies and my response date isn't until May 20th.

I hate when they say yes and then don't show up. 8 people did that at my brother's wedding. They had gone over their minimum by 4 and paid the difference a week before which ended up being totally unnecessary.

I also thought we'd get a bunch of unexpected nos but we ended up with more people than we thought. We're way over our minimum now. Don't worry just yet, I'm sure it will all work out
