I can't believe people...
First off...I have three kids in my BP...Would you believe their parents have the nerve to tell me that the kids don't like the dresses as I show them ones I am interested in.Next: People are already starting with the: 'Kid asked if she could come to the wedding...I know it's expensive, so a 'no' is okay...' Then why ask me in the first place???
ARGHHHHHHHHHHHHHH

Re: I can't believe people...
I can totally understand why you wouldn't want kids at your wedding and that is your choice, but aren't the kids half price at least they are at mine. But I KNOW that still adds up

Re: I can't believe people...
I can't believe the nerve some people have. If their name is on the invitation, then they are invited, if not, then leave them at home! Why are they bothering you with this? Rude and tacky!

I see what you wrote in your avatar.
Jan05Bride can vouch for me...I email her every day saying that I have a new dress idea. I'm going nuts! (I do have my BM dresses though--thank God! Just working on the three kids.)

Re: I can't believe people...
Tell them to wear it and like it
And as far as having kids at the wedding, my ring bearer's parents didn't want him there (they wanted to enjoy themselves) and my flowergirl is only 2, I didn't want my mom to worry about chasing her around the place (its my niece from my brother and his ex-girlfriend. The baby's mom was not invited and my brother would not watch his daughter, he was too busy having fun)

Go with your gut, they are kids, they'll be cute if you even put them in burlap sacks!

I think I'm putting my foot down & goi with avatar dress, I'm just going to checkout her last 2 choices first, to give the illusion of fairness.
I don't have any kids in the wedding. . .

Re: I can't believe people...
I love kids so we had 4 of them. Our flowergirl and ring bearer (ages 4 & 5) and then a junior bridesmaid and usher (ages 8 & 10) Everything went well with the kids until the junior usher starting stalking us. He is DH's Godson and he would not leave us alone. DH is like his best friend, when he sees him noone else that's around exists to him. But that night I wanted to smack the **** out of him!!!!!!! His parents would come and drag him away but then 5 mins later he would come back. Then he comes up to DH and asked him to take him to the bathroom! DH was like 'you are 10 years you still don't know how to go by yourself' then he told him to have grandpa take him and he wouldn't go, he only wanted DH to take him. But Grandpa ended up taking him....On the video you do see him always dancing around us. But it doesnt look as bad as thought it would. He started when we were taking pictures at the hall. The photographer told him several times that he needed to get out of the way, cuz he was always lingering around us.

Re: I can't believe people...
I love kids too Bedda! We are having five kids under the age of 12 in the bridal party.
Those kids are our neices and nephews (or as close to us as neices and nephews would be)
The other kids we are inviting are the siblings of the kids in the BP --making for a total of 11 kids invited. If I was to invite all the children of all my guests, we'd have 47 kids at the wedding!

Re: I can't believe people...
I couldn't do 'a no kids at the wedding' with my family because they are too sensitive and would get offended believe it our not.I don't mind a small group of them like 10 but I had so many of them running around the whole place and some of these parents just let them run around wild while they have a good time and enjoy themselves. I couln't do that. My nieces and nephews should have been the only exceptions.
I was at a sweet 16 party on Friday night where the DJ kept requesting for the parents to come up and please get their child away from the dance floor whenever they were in the way of something. Like when the sweet 16 girl was doing her candle ceremony. None of the parents moved. If one of those children were mine and they are at a spot where they shouldn't be I would most definitely get up off my *** and get my child!
I don't think a wedding is a function where kids should be at unless they are nieces or nephews of the bride and groom.

Re: I can't believe people...
Also if I were a parent and were going to a wedding I wouldn't bring a small child with me, especially if I want to have a good time. I could not sit there and enjoy myself because I would be too worried about where my child was. Unless it's a wedding of an aunt or uncle or if they are in the bridal party.Welcome New Vendors
