Ladies w/tall DH/FH...(and the guys too)..furniture related

DH is 6' 3' and we're curious as to whether or not we should get a footboard when we buy a new bed set.....

NOOOOO do not do it! I am 5'10 and used to have a footboard.. It was reallly really uncomfortable...
DH is 6'4 and when we have to buy a new bed we will not get a foot board.

My FH is 6'3 as well and his feet hang over the bed now

FI is 6'2' and we wanted a sleigh bed! When we got engaged we stayed at a B&B that had a sleigh bed! First he barely fit! Second he kicked it the whole night and kept waking me up with the noise! So no sleigh bed for us!

I think I've seen the sleigh beds without the footboards!!! It doesn't look bad!

Definitely no footboard!!! FH is 6'4' and every single night I have to hear how much he hates the footboard...

It depends. FI is 6'5'. We have a footboard, but we also have a really think mattress that is higher than the footboard. This obviously wouldn't work with a sleigh bed.

No Way!! You are only asking for trouble!

Personally (and at 5'3) I don't like them - I scooch down & sleep with my feet hanging off the bottom of the bed. DH is 6'6 and he was all scrunched up when he used to sleep on my futon.

FH is 6'3' and he already told me NO WAY. He said the only footboard we could have would be one with high posts but it goes below the matress line. His feet hang over as is...

If you like the LOOK of something at the foot of the bed, think about a settee or a hope chest or bench....

NO!!! FH (6'5') would lay sideways and I would end up all curled up in about 12 square inches at the top of the bed back when we first were together and I had a full bed with head & foot board!!!!

I don't know how I didn't break up with him just for that!!!!!

Depends on how big a bed you get. Mu hubby is just about 6'5' and we have a king and a foot board and he doesn't have an issue.

I have a full bed & a footboard & my 6 foot FH has a full bed and no footbard &he SWEARS my bed is smaller that his.

Its actually the headboard AND the foot baord. The head board curves in a little, so you lookse a little space at the top & and the footboard comes just a little above the matress, butits all rought iron, so he's always hurting his toes on it.
WE registed for queen sixed linens, so we will be gettigna new bed anyway, so I guess it won't have a footboard.
