Okay can you check this to see if it makes sense?

As per our phone conversations, this is a written confirmation of our intent to change our original contract with the Swan Club.

Originally we contracted for the After Deck Room, with a room minimum of 40. At a cost of $60 per guest. Plus 18% service charge and applicable tax.

At this point in our planning we would like to change our room to the Contessa Room. For Sunday May 8, 2005. As per our conversation, I understand our cocktail hour will begin at 7pm. I understand our room minimum will now be 100 people. At the same base price of $60 per guest. Plus 18% service charge and applicable tax.

I will be in touch with you by phone sometime next week to make arrangements to come in on Saturday May 8, 2004. We will be bringing you our next installment of $1300.00. At that time we would also like to sign an updated contract with the above changes.



Let me know if you think I wrote this out pretty clearly..

ETA: This is a letter our BM asked me to fax over, so they will change our room.

I think it sounds fine and smart idea to sign another contract...I am a fraud's dream...I never think of these things.

I found that I had to change from the After Deck room also and I was wondering what pushed you over the edge? Was it the size of your guest list or something else?

Ultimately I changed venues all together as the Contessa room was not available on our date. I just hope Swan Club goes for the deal we want to make with them or I am out the $$$.

Well honestly, I never really LOVED the After Deck, but at the time that's all we thought we could afford.

With many blessing from above, ie I got another job, and my parents are re-financing.. not only for my wedding..lol actually to make a long story short, to pay off my brother & sister's college loans, since my dad went back to college himself, they were still on deferment, but he will be done soon, and the loans will be due..

The other major issue was the guest list, I found I was having to not include people I REALLY wanted to come, so that was what really sent me over the edge ...

I hope it works out for you. If they can rebook the room, I'm sure they will give you a decent if not full refund. They are really good at working with their clients..

All I can say is negotiate.
I tried and it worked somewhat for me..I was aable to change my room.

Also if they can re book the date you usually get back most of your money minus 'admistrative' costs.

It looks good I would add this:

Please confirm the acceptance of these revised terms of our original contract by signing below and returning to me at fax #516-555-1212.

and put a line at the bottom of the letter for them to sign.
