Re: Going to Fox Hollow today...

I know there are a bunch of us that would LOVE an honest (good and bad) review! Food and service are especially important to me, but I'd love to hear about any other aspects that stand out from a guest's perspective.

Thanks so much and have a great time!!!

Re: Going to Fox Hollow today... UPDATED

Ok...just got back. This was a very small wedding (50 people give or take...)

The ceremony was outside in the garden, it was set up very nice, but you could hear the traffic going by.

Cocktail hour, again in a very small room due to size of wedding. The food they had out was good, all cold though. Sushi and tortellini were my favorites. There were only 5 hot things passed around butler style. All the food was good however.

Reception...not sure of the room but it was small with a glass ceiling. The DJ was In The Mood. I didnt think they were good at all. The MC was talking so loud and fast that nobody knew what he was saying, and they played the music way too loud for the size of the room.

First Course: Grilled veggies, they were cold, I was not crazy about them at all.
Salad: was very soggy and drenched in some italian dressing..I didnt see anyone actually eat it.
Main Course: There were like 6 choices which I thought was nice!
I had filet mignon, it was yummy, but the potato wasnt!
DH had lamb and loved it, BIL had chicken and said it was OK....

As for service, it was Ok. The waitor tried taking our food away about 5 minutes after he would bring it out. We were never finished and always had to tell him to wait. Also, there wasnt much attention to drink orders, we always had to go to the bar. But it didnt get too crowded at least.

Cake was ok, typical wedding cake. Nothing terrible.

Valet...Fox Hollow needs to work on this, everytime I have been there it has alway been chaos while leaving. Another wedding and a sweet 16 let out at the same time as ours and getting the car was crazy. We waited for a long time, DH almost went to the booth to get his own key! They need to stagger this a bit more.

Overall I have been to several fox hollow weddings and this was the best one. Food was the best!

Hope this helps!
