Re: International Invites - response postage???
I didn't have to deal with this, but my best friend did. She had to send invitations to Israel, so she had her uncle in Israel send her the airmail stamps that they would have to use to mail the response back to the USA. Unfortunately, the only ones that were issued for that denomination were 9/11 memorial stamps, so she had to use those on the response cards!
She also had to send invites to two people in Canada. She had such an issue getting the stamps from the Canadian Embassy or whereever she need to get them from that she apologized in advance to these two people and had them put their own stamps on them.

Re: International Invites - response postage???
I had to send invitations out to Canada and England. The US post office doesn't sell international post stamps. If you can, and have the time, ask someone from wherever it is to mail you some stamps and reimburse them for it.
I din't have the time, so I didn't put any return postage on the rsvp envelope. People will understand that it is difficult to get the postage. They'll understand.

Re: International Invites - response postage???
I had to mail invites to Scotland and did not put return postage on envelopes. People there told me that they usually don't do that anyway, so I figured it was okay.

Re: International Invites - response postage???
I sent tons of invitations to Ireland and they don't do reply postage on the responce cards so people said not to bother, that it's not expected and people will do it themselves. And they did. Find out if in the country where you are sending the invitations to if they do postage for responce cards, and if not, I wouldn't bother. It will save you money and time and no one will mind that you didn't do it.

For my Bat Mitzvah, we purchased vouchers from the post office for the return envelopes going from Israel. Your post office can explain what's necessary.

I basically did the same thing. We have some Canadian relatives and I bought stamp voucher things from the PO. The people in canada bring them to the PO and they give them a stamp. I thought it was a nice touch so they didn't have to pay for postage.
