NWR... I have an interview on Friday and I was wondering....
if it's okay to wear sandals with slacks. I haven't been to one in a while, so I'm curious. Any advice, greatly appreciated. Thanks, Nancy

As a manager myself, I would not wear 'sandals' to an interview. I don't think it is professional enough.. Closed toe shoe, a slingback or something with an open back, yes, but i would go def closed toe..

I totally agree. Sandals are not prof. enough.

I agree with the closed toe. At my last job we were not allowed to wear open toe shoes.

I always dress as conservatively as possible. I usually only wear skirt suits, with stockings, and pumps. Minimal makeup, jewelry and perfume.

To add to that, nail polish, professional, not red, or dark colors...hands and nails groomed...and a pale color and minimal jewelry -I agree!!!

I wouldn't. I would be as professional as possible, and then whip out the sandals after you get the job!

I wore sandal pumps with my suits for interviews...then again, I live in Florida now. =)) I don't see anything wrong with some elegant sex and the city sandals...but I would trust the other ladies...

Re: NWR... I have an interview on Friday and I was wondering....
As an HR professional, I would frown upon anyone wearing sandals to an interview, especially if it's the very first interview with the company. But, I am speaking in terms of interviewing at a very *corporate* company. If the corporate culture is more relaxed at your place, than maybe it would be okay
Good Luck!

Re: NWR... I have an interview on Friday and I was wondering....
its always safer to be more conservative than not - I had a woman complain that a person who interview before me didnt have on stockings. Always go for a suit and closed toe - unless you are positive the overall industry is very casual. But go for closed toeWelcome New Vendors
