Just got a check made out to TWO COMPLETELY WRONG First names

So we got a check from my grandmother's employer, which was really nice. But my grandma always calls me by my nickname, Candy, and always calls Arie with her Jamaican accent, so that it comes out sounding like Harry. So this wonderful woman writes the check out to 'Candie and Harry K__'! I'm cracking up! I'm gonna try and deposit it at the ATM and hope they don't notice.

the ATM should be fine. Maybe you should sign it with Candy as your middle name.
Sometimes bancks will deposit anything.

I once mailed the wrong check to the wrong bill, so MBNA america ended up depostitng my check for rent made out to my managment company. The managment comapny sent back my check, b/c my Visa mayment wasn't close to my rent amout!

We got an engagement card written out to Jean & 'his lady'! Ok, I know I only met them once at a funeral & briefly at Jean's graduation part, but obviously someone told them about our engagment , they didn't happen to mention my name in that conversation?

I think they did send us a check to, made out to him only.

Nadine that is too funny. If you cannot deposit it at the ATM try a check cashing place.

My DH was called Mr. L**** at the two hotels we stayed at on our HM because the reservations were made in my (maiden) name because we used my credit card, and I just laughed every time. Hee

Thats so funny. Friends of DH's dad sent us a wedding gift and a nice note with it. Our names are Jaime Marie and Michael Joseph, well the note and card were made out to Marie and Joseph!! Guess they didn't like our first names!!
