My May 15th wedding review- NOW WITH PROOFS

My May 15th wedding review- NOW WITH PROOFS

I can't believe I have been married for 2 weeks already. The time has gone SO fast! My wedding day was perfect- I couldn't have asked for anything better. After watching the weather all week, I was resigned to the fact that it was going to rain. When I woke up that morning to the sun shining, I was thrilled!! It was nice and warm, and absolutely perfect! There were no problems, and everything went smoothly. Here is my review of my vendors:

DRESS: Davids Bridal- A lot of people have had problems with them, but they were very ice and very helpful. I bought my dress there, but took it home with me to have alterations done closer to me, since the store was about an hour from my house.

Shoreham Bridal Center(Alterations)-these woman are SO nice. I had only one minor problem with my bustle, and it was fixed with no problem.

INVITATIONS/MISC: Jodilynn from Simplicity Planning-This woman is a dream to work with. She is very sweet and helpful, and tries to help as much as she can. She helped me with a last minute problem, and I couldn't have asked for better or faster service!

HOTEL: Hampton Inn Brookhaven- I had NO problems with the hotel at all. All the rooms were great, and we had the shuttles as promised.

HAIR- Nancy from Guys & Dolls: Nancy is my regular hairdresser, and we had talked about styles for months before the wedding. After going for 2 trials, we had come up with a style I liked. She made me look like a princess- my hair turned out better than I had imagined, and it took her less than an hour to do. She is amazing.

MAKEUP- Danielle Renee: I LOVE this woman. She is sweet, sincere, and really takes the time to listen to what you really want. She was there at exactly 7 to do my mom's makeup, and then mine. She made us both look wonderful. My makeup lasted all day- the only thing I needed to reapply was my lipstick. She made everyone laugh, and was a dream to work with.

LIMOS-Sir Oliver Limo (wedding day & shuttle to and from airport)- They were SO nice. Both cars showed up on time, and the drivers were very nice. The cars were clean, and they had champagne and soda waiting for us. The Town cars to and from the airport were on time, and the driver was very nice. We couldn't have asked for better sevice.

FLOWERS-Flowers by Liz- All I can say is WOW. Liz did a FANTASTIC job on our flowers. The bouquets were exactly what I wanted, and the guys flowers turned out great. We had several arrangements throughout the garden area for the ceremony, and they are still alive! She was very reasonable, and there on time. I would recommend her to anyone!

PHOTO/VIDEO: Wintermyer Studios: Helen was very nice, and her photgraphy is amazing. We had her, and a black and white photojournalist, who were hardly knew were there at all. She stayed until the last dance, and then asked if there was anything else she was needed for. I have yet to see my photos, but I sm sure they will be beautiful. We also used her for video, which I can't wait to see.

DJ- Sound Choice DJ Entertainment. I LOVED Michael. He is a great person, and really cares about what you want. He had everyone up dancing, and was always asking us if we wanted to hear anything different, or if there was anything he could do to change was he was gdoing if we weren't happy. He is a dream to work with. If any of you ladies have booked him, you have NOTHING to worry about.

Giorgio's: There is NOTHING bad I can say about this hall at all. Everything went SO smoothly. I couldn't have asked for a better day. They were very attentive to what my DH and I wanted. The gardens for the ceremony were BEAUTIFUL. They had just rebuilt the grounds, and I was a little nervous because I hadn't seen them yet. I had nothing to worry about. They told the whole bridal party what to do, and put the parents at ease. The ceremony went off without any problems.

Everyone said the food was amazing, and the view was breath taking. All the guests thought that the cocktail hour was the main course! We couldn't belive how much food there was. Ther drinks were great (they made sure DH and I always had something to drink). All you Giorgio's brides have NOTHING to worry about!

CAKE- Rolling Pin Bakery: Our cake was PHENOMINAL. It was absolutely gorgeous, and tasted wonderful. All the guests commented on how good it was. We were so glad that Giorgio's had changed bakeries.

TRAVEL AGENT- M and M Travel- Marie is the sweetest person to deal with. She made the arrangements seem so effortless, and everything went great. We had no mishaps at all.

HM: Carnival Cruise to the Bahamas- We had a GREAT time on the Fantasy. There was always something to do, whether it was just lay by the pool, or eat, or play games, read, drink, whatever. We went to the Blue Lagoon in Massau, Bahamas, and swam with the Stingrays. It was just gorgeous the whole time. We'd definately do it again.

Sandals Ocho Rios, Jamaica- We were a little disappointed. The weather was HORRIBLE the whole time we were there. It rained constantly. We made the best of it by swimming in the rain, playing games, and whatever. The grounds were gorgeous, though. It looked like you were living in the jungle- there were parrots always flying overhead, and always a flower in bloom. I would try it again, but at a different time of year.

I'll have pics when we get settled- I am helping DH move in right now!

Congratulations!! I am glad your day went so well at Giorgio's. The more I read about it the happier I am with our decision!!
