My May 28 wedding review!!(pictures added at the bottom)
It was a fabulous day!!!!!
Weather- It had me worried for a while, but I figured I would just go with the flow. Finally right before we arrived at the NYBG it cleared up!!
The Snuff Mill@ NYBG A++++++++++++++++++++++++++++
I can not put into words how amazing our experience was here. From the moment we looked at the place(it was the only one we looked at) we knew we had to get married here. The setting is unbelievable and the inside of the mill is wonderful. If anyone is having a smaller wedding I would check this place out.
The food at the NYBG is catered by Abigail Kirsch and the reputation that they have is not undeserved. It was the most amazing food and tons of it. At the CH my mom had to tell people that there was a 4 course meal also and to save room. I heard raves all night about the food and the setting.
Ceremony by Jeff:A++++++
We had my DH's best friend ordained online. I highly recommend for those that are not having a religious service getting someone who knows you to do the service. I had so many compliments from everyone ( even my parents who were a little suspicious) that it was the most beautiful service they had ever seen. I think it is because it was so personal. From Jeff to the vows that we wrote it was nothing but perfect!!! I am Biased!
Hair: A+ A friend of mine that works for "Thourghly Modern Millie" did my hair. It was exactly what I wanted. He did a great job and it lasted all night. Plus, it was fun getting ready at the theatre.
Makeup: A+ Oksana was wonderful!!!! She did my MOH, BM, the Best Women and myself. She took her time with all of us and we all looked great!!!! My makeup lasted all night with just minor touch ups like powder and lipstick. I highly recommend her!!!
Dress: RK Bridal- A+ I had absolutly no problems. My dress came in early and the alterations were done perfectly. I saved $300 on my dress. I would recommend them .
Music: High Voltage Sounds A++++
Vinny did an amazing job. He played everything we wanted and did not play anything we didn't. I had a lot of compliments on the variety of music (mostly picked by Vinny) and that the music was a good sound level. He was absolutly fabulous!!!!!!!
Florist: Distinctive Floral Design A++++++
My check got lost in the mail(really) and they still delivered the flowers!!!!! I was really non specific about what kind of flowers I wanted. I gave a general color scheme and vision and Christina made iot come to life. From my bo-k to the candles down the aisle to the centerpices and the honeysuckle on the beams in the mill everything was perfect.
We had the best day!!!! There were a few hitchs. DH's car service got lost and he showed up about an 1 and 1/2 late to the gardens for pictures. The rain early in the day had me worried and so did the traffic, but everything worked out!!! I could not have had a better wedding day!!!!! :-
D  
Now, I am ready for my honeymoon!!!

Congratulations!
I've never been to NYBG and now you have me curious about Snuff Mill - I may go soon to just see it. It's amazing that there's a place like that in the Bronx - you'd never know you were in the Bronx otherwise.
And the rain cleared up great and just in time.

Some of these are repeats from the BHB board and some are new. They are pictures that my Matron of honor took. Apparently, my new husband and I were not together very often at the reception because there is only one picture of us together.
1. Me, my Man of Honor Gregg, and my BM Jen
2. Me, Gregg ( he was upset that he did not get a bo-k so, during the ceremony when I handed my bo-K to my Matron of Honor she handed hers to Gregg), and my Matron of Honor Elaine.
3. Me. The wind was blowing and I just had to do this.
