My 5/30 Wedding Review
Well, to start I have to say, it was the best day of my life - it just flew by so fast! For my review:B]Swan Club A+++++ I have to admit, after reading some reviews, I was a bit worried, but everything turned out perfect!!! The grounds were beautiful, the food fabulous and the drinks, flowing. Our Banquet Manager John Casale made sure our every need was met and kept the party running like clockwork. Everyone raved about how delicious (and abundant) the food at the cocktail hour was and said the dinner was outstanding. The cake was delicious, although I wish now I had given them a picutre of something a bit fancier to copy. It was a bit plain looking by today's standards.
Dress: Macy's Bridal Smithhaven Mall A They did a great job altering and steaming my dress. I had bought a sample dress, but you would never have known it! The only thing that bothered me, was that when I went for my fittings at the scheduled times I always had to wait for one reason or another.
Headpiece: Barron's Tri county Flea market A They were great to work with and had a huge selection at reasonable prices. I bought a piece earier form another shop, but it didn't work with my hair. Barrons was able to get me a new piece imediately.
Flowers: Jack and Rose: A When I first saw my bouquet, I cried!. It was sooo beautiful! I wish every bride could have that feeling. The hair stylist was still here and she cried also! The girls flowers were beautiful also. My guest were all impressed by the centerpieces, and ask for the name of my florist. The only small problem was that my DH's boutonierre fell apart, (it was a rose with stephanotis on each side. ) It could have been the way he put it on, or it could have needed more tape to hold it together - not sure.
Limo's: Atlantis Limousine: D------ The postive thing is that the care were clean and beautiful. Negatives: The driver's had no directions with them and did not know where they were going. We had to give them directions every step of the way. Call me crazy, but I don't think it should be the bride's responsibility to tell the limo driver the way to the church. Have these people ever heard of mapquest????? Next problem - no church aisle runner. Either there was none, or as they are saying it was in the car that dropped off the groom, but bottom line is I walked down the asile without one and the bottom of my dress was fifthy! Biggest problem - the care they were suppose to send to pick us up this morning at 5:30 didn't arrive until almost six - and we could not get on our flight to Aruba!!! It wasn't the driver's fault, the owner never told her the time was chanegd from 6 to 5:30. Luckily, we can get a flight out tomorrow, and the travel agent was able to push our room reservation at the Radisson back a day. We were also able to extend our stay one day on the back end. Hopefully, we'll get there tomorrow, (my FIL will drive us to be safe!)
Tuxedos: TuxedoPark: D When all was said and done, everyone looked great in their tuxes, but thank God I insisted everyone try them on well in advance of the wedding. All twelve tuxs needed alterations - one jacket was two sizes too small; my dad looked like he was dressed in a clown costume, his tux was so poorly fitted, the one jr usher had a black vest, while the other had a grey one, (luckily, they are brothers and their mom caled to ask it I wanted this look!) They also sent bow ties for the jr boys instead of long ties like the ushers. Two ushers shoes were not at the store on Thursday, and we were assured they would be their by noon the next day. After another trip back, and still no shoes, Tuxedo Park ended up having to delivery them to their houses on Saturday night! Talk about stress! Although the tuxes were of a nice quality, save yourself a headache and go elsewhere.
Photographer: Michael O'Neill - East Northport: A+++++++++ Michael is a true professional and his pictures show it. He is more expensive then other photographers, but he is worth it. Visit his studio and see for yourself. I loved that Michael could line people up and take a shot in under a minute, then move on to the next.
Video: Dream Day Productions: A+++++ Eddie was terrific to work with and is a master at his craft. If you call him, tell him Sharon and Mike sent you!
Music: High Voltage - Vinny: A+++++++++++++++++++ Vinny is the best! The dance floor was packed all noght long. Every time I felt like I needed a break, another great song came on - I was never able to leave the dance flloor! Our instructions to Vinny was to read the crowd and play music to them, and that is exactly what he did. Many of our friends have married over the last few years, and everyone was saying that they wished they had hired Vinny! If you have him, you'll be assured of a great party!
That all I can think of now. More when I get back from Aruba (that is, if I ever get out!)

Congratulations! Thank you for the review. It sounds as though everyone is having problems with limos and bus companies of late.
