No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

My SIL and my Maid and Matron of honor were all supposed to be planning my bachelorette party and no one seems to be on top of planning. Each one says they have called the other and the other says she never got a call or e-mail.

Should I just plan my own?

Maybe they are doing that on purpose to throw you off the scent so to speak...

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

They asked me what I wanted to do. They know that I don't like strippers. I want to go to dinner at the Cowgirl Hall of Fame and then a show at LIPS. We all agreed on this. No one I know has had a surprise bach party.

I think I need to take matters into my own hands

Don't say or do anything - some girls do get a surprise bachelorette party. If they know what you want they are probably just working on the details.

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

I think you should just go ahead and start planning it by yourself. You know what you want to do, so find uot what night works for the most people and make reservations.

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

How close are you to your MOH or SIL? I told my sister that I dont really want to see naked men, all I want to do that night is dance and drink my brains out! But she said, 'tough, all girls need naked men then you can dance after!'

The point is... tell them your ideas and get a feel for it all.

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

Well I took it into my own hands and emailed my friends about what I want to do and when and now I'm waiting for replies.

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

I am in the same boat
My friend planned a whole weekend at The Borgata and no one wanted to go! So...2 other friends took over and left my other pal in the dust. She is kind of annoyed.

So they are planning something in the city which sounded OKAY but I lived in the city for 10 yrs...
Dinner in the city is something I can do anytime -
So I emailed them today to tell them to get in touch w/ everyone and make sure they include everyone.

It turns out that the girl who wanted to plan it for me can't even come b/c they are doing it the night b/f Father's Day!

UGH!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

I took the bull by the horns and e-mailed everyone. I have 18 days before I get married and I want to have all of my time allotted. I can't afford to wait for someone to plan this. We have one weekend we can do this and if it doesn't work, then I don't have one. End of story.

Good for you! And you guys will have a blast. I was highly involved in plannin g my bachelorette party - for some reason in my groups of friends the bride always plans her own - we are just weird like taht I guess! Anyway, I went to the Cowgirl Hall of Fame for a Bach. party and we had a really nice time. Good food and drinks!

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

If you know what you want, I suggest you plan it yourself.

I knew what I wanted so I e-mailed everyone told them what night and how much and told them to e-mail me back if it all looked good. Everyone said fine and I booked the places and all was set.

I figured if I wanted it done that I should do it myself and it all worked out fine. We all had a blast!!!!

Good for you!! Either way if they plan it or you,it doesn't matter b/c you'll have a blast!
I want to go to Mantasia, so we'll see who wants to join in.

I see nothing wrong with planning it yourself if you know what you want.

Re: No one seems to be planning my bachelorette party

Good for you Juliet! At least you know what you're getting.

My MOH is planning mine and I keep getting calls from people that she's driving everyone nuts, won't/can't tell them how much it will be, and she started changing the plans yesterday (and my party is this Saturday) I *WISH* I would have planned it myself.
