Need new gyn. in Suffolk--any recommendations?
I called to make an appt. with my gyn. today, and suprisingly was offered an appt. tonight! I then asked about next week, and she said he has free appointments every night! I was suprised, because they are usually so backed up, and I said "oh that's odd, they are usually all booked," and the receptionist laughed evilly and said "no, not Dr. XXXX!" Needless to say I am worried! I have only been to him once because I needed to get a prescription filled quickly (he seemed nice enough, an old guy but pleasant...nothing weird or anything). Anyway, anyone have recommendations in Suffolk?

Re: Need new gyn. in Suffolk--any recommendations?
That is weird! I takes me a while to get an appointment with my gyn. but I really like her a lot. Her name is Dr. Dina Weiss. I go to her office in the medical office building near St. Catherine of Siena hospital in Smithtown but I know she also has an office in Stony Brook. The number to Smithtown is 862-3800. Be prepared to wait a month for an appointment

Hey Beth...
I used to go to Dr Weiss too! I had to switch because of insurance....I now go to Dr. Birnbaum (a man) whose office is right across the street from the Watermill. It's a whole office with several Dr's and I''m very happy with them! Another Dr. in that ofc is Dr. Halpert.

If you want south shore, Dr. Patricia O'Sullivan in Oakdale came highly recommended to me and I've been very happy with her. There are several doctors in the practice - I think one is her husband. There is another woman who recently joined the practice too. She has another office, but I'm not sure where it is.

I use Dr. Loy in Patchogue, he's wonderful, I switched to him when I got preggo 7 years ago, cuz I got annoyed with all the "group doctors". He's the greatest.

I use Tracy Sullivan in Port Jeff. I love her..she is so nice. I don't know her number but if you look it up it would be under Dr. Kramer and I know they are in Port Jeff Station.

Thanks! The gyn I went to was actually at South Bay...But it isn't Dr. Judge! Maybe I will just try to make an appt. with him instead!

Re: Need new gyn. in Suffolk--any recommendations?
I used to go to Dr. Leo in North Babylon (loved that man!), but for insurance reasons I had to switch and am now going to Dr. Michelle Polidoro in East Islip. It's a little odd going to a woman, I've always seen men, but she is really nice.

Definitely try Dr. Judge! I sent a couple other people to him, and they are very happy with him. Could you FM me the name of the one you're not happy with please -- thanks!
