Shower and Wedding Invite Question

My wedding invites are going out 8 weeks before the wedding. Is it okay if my shower invites go out BEFORE the wedding invites. My mom said that she wouldn't mail the shower invites until after the wedding invites go out but I'm not sure if she already has a date or anything planned. I'm not sure if that would give the guest enough time to show up for the shower.

I always get shower invites before wedding invites. Its very common for showers to be 2 months before the wedding, so often the shower invites are sent 4 - 6 weeks before wedding invites are sent.

I know that my shower is soon, so that means that my shower invites went out already but I have not mailed my wedding invites yet. My wedding invites are not going out until the end of August.

i told my mom that I don't want my guests to have the wedding invite before the shower..so she needs to plan accordingly!!!

Shower invites went out a while ago...my shower is on sunday : )

Shower invites usually go out before the wedding invites. My shower will be this summer but my invitations are not going out till the end of August.
