I'm with hombre212. Got married 15 years ago in the back of a restaurant, paid cash (about $2400), the 70 most important people in our lives had a good time, and I'm still a happily married newlywed. There are a lot of folks out there that think they are entitled to life styles of the rich and famous. Guess what, most of us are destined to be moderately off. So it seems foolish to me to go for the 50K wedding for 200 (I don't think I even know that many people that would care so that you can fight about the bills for 10 years assuming you make it that long.
