anyone else bummed that construction/home improvement takes so long

we have been paying our rent and mortgage for a hwile now - and we still aren't close to being able to move in....boo.....this is taking os long that it gets me down sometimes!!

Working for a construction company I know just how inconvenient home renovation can be especially if there are minor snags along the way but being able to see the final products and just have dramatic the transformation can make it all worth it. what are you having done that is taking ao long? it will all look beautiful in the end just hang in there.

we added an extension - thats done thank goodness - but now we are trying to paint ourselves, and molding....plus the flooring..and then phase two - where we are getting rid of the shingles in the front and having them put up siding, repaint the garage doors, put in new windwos in the front, build fil's kitchen downstairs, a deck out front and put down a brick path in the back for fil's entrance....and thats all i can think of now....

i guess its takign so long too b/c we are doing some of it oursleves and both dh and i work f/t and are going to school until the end of june so our time is limited.....

i think the best way is too some of the work yourself it does take longer but you save so much money even on the smallest of things. you have to show pictures im sure it is going to look beautiful.



i cant wait to own a house so i can start doing work and having it look just the way i want it to and even me who is in kitchen and bath design will be doing some of the work myself lol.
