I am thinking of changing my favor from a full size wine bottle to a wine stopper.

What do you think? I am giving out the placecard frames already and I thought this would be as nice and not as expensive.

I think the wine stopper idea is great. More useful and then you don't have to worry about if people prefer red or white.

I would go with the wine stopper too. For you, they will think of you more often and any bottle of wine we get that we don't like, we just store in a closet for someone to come by and take it.

for me.. personally

GIVE ME THE STOPPER. We have like 5 bottles of wine at home that well wishers have given us that we don't drink. I don't drink Merlot, Jim doesn't drink Chardonnay, both of us don't drink Zin anymore and we're picky about our Cabernet. Wine stoppers however we do use.

Definately give the wine stopper. It is definately something your guests will use long after your wedding. I was thinking about doing bottles of wine for my wedding but my husband made a good point that after the people drink it - they wouldn't have a memento of the occasion. With wine stoppers they will.

Can I ask a ridiculous question?? *braces* What if people don't drink? You should definitley go for the stopper b/c then even the non-drinkers will find a use for it.

I did the exact same thing...I wanted wine bottles at first but i didn't want the tables to be cluttered with bottles...I know some people give them away at the end but i didn't like that either! I switched to the crystal grape wine stopper!

ETA...i priced both and the wine stoppers were MORE expensive then giving wine bottles in some cases..If you get beringer or some LI wines the stoppers are actually more.
