Need to cut back my LIW usage....(repost from NWR)

My department is moving. We’re going to be relocated to a ‘swing floor’ and our computers will be wiped clean of all info (as we’re getting upgraded). My new desk is just caddy corner of my boss and extra tiny. No privacy to speak of.

Where I am now I’m sort of off the main “throughways” and a good distance away from management. Our current floor has the distinguished pleasure of being one of the two oldest office spaces in America for my company. Still I’m gonna miss my space something awful.

Anyway, with this move means less internet play time. I really need to start to button down. Our move date is July 16th. I’m going to TRY to limit my LIW usage. I am so very addicted!

If you see less of me you’ll know why. Probably going to try to become a night user more than a day user. I’ll check my FMs and reply.

In effort to KEEP my job I’m trying to cut back! hahaha
There really should be a 12-step program for this!

Re: Need to cut back my LIW usage....(repost from NWR)

What’s really sad is that we have a time keeping log. I have to justify every hour of 40 spent and assign it to a client. Yearly we run our ‘hours’ and then justify those ‘hours’ for the fee we charge our client. The only way I’ve been able to be truthful is by working late. I work late hours and through lunch so I could view LIW without feeling like I was cheating my clients.

We have one hour of ‘other’ time allotted to each day. That’s normally lunch.

Thank GOD it’s one of those things that if I thought about the client or spent time reading emails from the client, it’s client time. It includes dinners and such. Most importantly it includes if I take home work and read emails on the train home or work on spreadsheets on my home computer. Still I only log 35hours of work each week. I feel like if I say more I’d be lying, since most of those hours were spent on LIW.

I am trying. I think for now I’ll cut it back to popping in to view every hour, Starting now. Then move to every two hours then maybe one day (like I got a chance!) I’ll only view before work, during lunch and after work! hehehe (as if)
