What is the best gift you ever received as a bridesmaid? Or groomsman?

I'm starting to think about gifts for both so that we can slowly start to buy stuff and not spend so much money all in one shot!

I've only been in one bridal party and I got a crystal heart shaped jewelry box... nice idea... not what I have in mind for my bridal party tho :)

My FH got a horseshoe set when he was in his sister's wedding. All of the guys loved it. He is doing something similar by giving 2 of the guys bocce balls.

He got them from Sports Authority. They have 25% off sales on them all the time over the summer.

I am going to go out on a limb... and say that I was a best man. And being the best man to my friend that I have known for twenty five years... was a gift in itself that no material thing could compare to.

I have been in many weddings here are some of the gifts I have received: lenox vase, nambe' vase, jewlery to match attire, Vera Bradley tote bag with monogram, Coach wristlet, jewlery box, frame, etc. All were nice. My fiance' has received a Movado pen and swiss army knife thing (both of which he never used). He did get a set of pilsner glasses that had his initial on it, a flask, golf balls, humador - all of these he liked.

I was just in a wedding this past weekend. I received a Louis Vuitton bag. WOW!! It's beautiful, but very extravagant!

As a BM, the best gift I got was that the bride paid for my hair and make-up. After all the other expenses...I was relived that I didn't have to come up with this one. I have been in many weddings and have gotten jewlery, picture frames, pocketbooks, jewlery boxes, etc....but the gift of hair and make-up is the one I liked best

i am paying for half ( 150-each, but i only have two girls in my BP)of teh girls dresses. i just thought being there was only two they had a lotr of expenses so why not pay for their dresses and help them out.

The best gift BM gift I recieved was an invitation to a party with the bride and groom, bridal party and their boyfriends or girlfriends. We met about a month and a half after the wedding at the bride and groom's house. We had an awesome dinner, then got in a limo and went to a comedy club, then out for the night -- all on the bride and groom. It was great to see everyone again and to see all the pictures from the wedding.
