DId anyone book Old Westbury Gardens for pics?

I put down a deposit yesterday @ Old Westbury Gardens to take my wedding pics there.
That place is gorgeous! WOW!

HAs anyone else done that or have pics taken there ( please show)?

I wanted to assure nice pics even if weather was not so fab.Old Westbury Gardens

ETA- we are still flip flopping over a photographer!

My daughter went to Old Westbury Gardens and it was beautiful. It just takes a long time to cover the entire area. They assign you a guide and she let us stay even longer than the allotted hour and a half. We missed a good part of the cocktail hour because of it, but it was well worth it.

Lady Princess has booked them for her March wedding.. to take pictures.. I've been there in the fall.. and it's really pretty.. great fall foliage.. :)

I really really would love to take my pictures there, but I am soo worried that after dropping the $500 for the hour and a half that somehow we will be late due to traffic (I will be driving out, during rush hour, from Ronkonkoma) that we will miss our slot and lose out!

But, our photographer told us how awesome and beautiful it is...

I know on the application form it mentions sections to 'request'- does anyone have a preferance?

As far as prferences for taking pics, I didn't submit the application yet- only left the deposit.

I need to go back & tour the area, just kind of rushed through. They did say that if it does rain we can use the inside for pics ( good enough for me)

Yes, I am psyched about that place!

it depends on when you get married etd. for us on our date its about 355. I think for 1 &1/2 hours.
My hall is gorgeous but they don't have grounds and i am a bit neurotic when it comes to banking on mother nature.
So for me its $$$ well spent.

We are also having our pictures taken there...The gardens are well worth it in my opinion...

I reserved the 'front lawn'- I think that is what it is called?

my photog told me to reserve the walled garden, rose garden and the south lawn and terrace. he said those were the best places to take pics.

i reserved it too!

id kick myself if i didnt have a rain backup so i decided to book them....
im not sure what looks the best in november there... definatly the south lawn, ive seen beautiful pictures on there

I feel Old Westbury Gardens is a big MUST on my wedding photo list . Pictures I have seen from there are BEAUTIFUL.

When I met with Duet Photographers, they told me that Old Westbury Gardens couldn't be booked in late November!!! They instead recommended Oyster Bay Arboretum!

I wonder why they told me that?!

We went there for pics and the place is breathtaking.

Although I'm not sure we went to all 3 places...I think we went to 2 of the 3 but I don't care, the pics were sooo pretty! And it was a beautiful day but if it wasn't we still would have had good pictures!

NYPD girl- When I originally called the Old Westbury Gardens they told me that they close Thanksgiving Week and had to double check my date.

We booked them for our November wedding as well. We were worried that the weather might not be so great and that they have that beautiful mansion to take pics in, so we booked!
