Just wondering, did anyone suggest that their FH put a touch of makeup for photo reasons on the wedding day??

I asked FH to wear a touch of powder to reduce shininess in pics. He gave me a funny look (but he did not say no). Im hoping hell go for it

He didnt wear makeup, but I bought him the face blotting papers from Sephora and although he was weary at first, he LOVED them! He said it saved his face all day.

How weird!!

FH just asked me in the car yesterday if I was going to make him wear make-up and I was like 'No!! Why would you even ask that??'

He was worried!!

Choice words would be putting it kindly..he would flip out. First off, this is not a cover shoot for New York Weddings..blotting papers, those are fine and a great suggestion. But a groom wearing makeup..no way, that is just weird.

Clean and clear makes a powder product that has no color but really tones down the shine. i tried to get FH to use the oil control blotting sheets but he didn't like them.
i guess the fact that i at least have him cleansing and moisterizing his face with good products is impressive enough- considering all he used was Dial-everywhere- when i met him.

In Europe most grooms do wear cover up and some blush. It is applied by make up artists. It's very normal. In the US everyone would make a big deal about it. Though I feel, if it is necessary, why not.....

No . My FH would NOT wear make up - Nor would I ask him to !! - I did however play make up artist w/ his brother on HIS wedding day b/c he has terrible acne. .....So, it's been done !!

I can't get FH to moisturize his skin -- and he has been diagnosed with ecyzma (sp?). I'd never get him to even think of powder nevermind makeup.

I'm lucky that he'll be clean shaven with a fresh hair cut that day.
