Re: North Bellmore??

Both are very nice from what I know. I live in South Bellmore. I know South Merrick/ Bellmore is on the water so many houses are right one the water, many of the houses tend to be a little bigger and newer (esp. deep south) and therefore a difference in price. There also may be school district differences but not sure what they are...but bet they are fine but they may be shared with surrounding towns. If you want more info - feel free to FM me!

Re: North Bellmore??

Danielle lives north of Sunrise Hwy in Bellmore...and Her family loves it there. I am actually moving there in a few weeks. We are going to be living in the basement apartment in her parents house.

The area is very quiet...and there are plenty of families there....Its very nice there. As far as the school district goes, I do not have any info to give you. All I know is that I would buy a house in this area if I could.....

Re: North Bellmore??

I rented an apartment in a home in N. Merrick for about a year and LOVED it. LOved the neighborhood and the neighbors really liked the schools. I'd probably still live there if I didn't meet FH

Re: North Bellmore??

I grew up in South Merrick. North Bellmore is a nice area- my best friend grew up there and the schools are good. However, I think the schools in South Merrick and South Bellmore a little better. I am just going off of reputation from when I was growing up. However, I think it's a nice place to live.

Re: North Bellmore??

I grew up in North Merrick and it is really nice. Actually, my parents have recently put their house on the market in North Merrick, right up the block from Old Mill Road School. It is an awesome, VERY clean and well maintained 5 bedroom colonial. I don't think it is on MLS website yet. Great deck, cul-de-sac, harwoods, finished basement. It is on Concord Place...there is a sign in the yard. It is probaby not in the starter house price range, but may be affordable for some.
