I'm thinking about doing the polaroid guest book
IS ANYONELSE DOING THIS??? HOW DID/ARE YOU DOING IT??Edited: Look what I found, directions.. what do you think about doing this
Wedding Reception Photo Guest Book
Supplies and Instructions- What You’ll Need:
Polaroid Products:
Polaroid One or 600 Camera
Polaroid Instant 600 Film (estimate one photo per guest)
Scrapbook Supplies:
1—12' x 12' album and page protectors
1—12' x 12' white and ivory acid free paper sheet
2—12' x 12' aqua vellum sheets (or select colors for wedding theme)
1—12' x 12' aqua/ white patterned paper
1—12' x 12' white vellum
7—heart-shaped eyelets
Aqua embroidery floss or fibers
Double-sided adhesive tape
Scissors and paper trimmers
Eyelet setter and Fiskers decorative punch
Instructions:
Decorate the pages in advance, and bring the decorated album, camera, film and adhesive to the reception to create the 'instant' guestbook
Trim patterned paper to 11 ¾' X 11 ¾' and place on torn aqua vellum sheet. Mount both pieces onto white paper background sheet using four heart-shaped eyelets
Trim two 3 7/8' X 4 5/8' pieces of ivory paper as photo backgrounds. Tear two slightly larger pieces of aqua vellum and mount on ivory paper.
Print titles onto white vellum using the computer. Mount on torn aqua vellum backdrops using remaining eyelets. Create a space for guests to write their wishes using a decorative punch to make an ivory paper border.
At the reception, take instant pictures of the guests, mount the photos using adhesive tape, and have each guest write a special wish beside their photo. For added decoration, crisscross embroidery floss over the photo borders.
Present the album to bride and groom at the end of the reception so they can enjoy their wedding memories instantly.

Re: I'm thinking about doing the polaroid guest book
I saw it done, and it was a lot of fun to both sign the guestbook, but also to flip back and see other people's pictures!

We did not wind up doing this -- did a wish bowl, but I am told by friends that the most important part of the polaroid guest book is assigning someone to encourage people to do it -- ie coordinator or member of bridal party -- at least to take a few shots and get it started.

Re: I'm thinking about doing the polaroid guest book
I totally want this done. I don't know it it will work out though. I have the guest book/scrap book and I even bought the polaroid camera off ebay. i can't seem to be able to put it together. I thought I can have some1 assinged to this, but the people I thought might be capable are in the wedding party and I think we will be taking pictures during the cocktail hr. Good luck if you can get it to work

I am doing that. Actually, Laura from LA Productions told me about it. She suggested it to me and I loved the idea.
