Kinda freaking out about the 'Hand Canceling' thing....

My COOL red watercolored floral paper outer envelopes have proved to be a pain the Arse!

Every time we go to the post office the ladies say “ooh how pretty..” that’s great then we ask for hand canceling and wouldn’t ya know?? Those stamps are RED!!!!! They do NOT appear on my envelopes. I hope folks get their invites.

Re: Kinda freaking out about the 'Hand Canceling' thing....

can they put a white sticker on them and then hand cancel them?

they have to have some sort of a system, because envelopes come in all colors!!!

Re: Kinda freaking out about the 'Hand Canceling' thing....

the lady at the post office was really nice.. but not all there....

'Oh how pretty..' *STAMP*...'hrmm... look at that, huh, doesnt show up well does it'.. ho-hum *STAMP*

Didn't really SAY much about it.

I asked if it was ok she said 'I can't see why not, see how I got a corner of your stamp?'

So I don't know.

Sorry...don't mean to laugh....but I know exactly what you mean...that lackadaisical attitude some people have....and you couldnt have described it better!
I'm sure your guests will get their invites! Dont worry!

Don't worry about it. As long as the stamp had a postal mark, it doesn't matter if it shows up on the envelope. The reason for the whole stamp thing is so that stamps won't reused. Once they have a mark on them that is from the Post Office, you can't use it again.

Exactly! And once they TOOK them from you, they will be mailed! the red stamp (just as chincila15 said) is JUST so that the stamps can not be reused!
I'm sure it will be fine!

Awesome envelopes though!
